Mr.Grant was a retired Free Methodist minister;having served in the Ohio and Oil City conferences of the Free Methodist Church. He retired in 1978 after 35 years of service to the ministry. The last churches he served in the Oil City Conference were Titusville;Oil City First;New Castle and Dubois. He was a graduate of God’s Bible School;Cincinnati;Ohio. He was married July 5;1935;to Evelyn Hammitt Grant;who survives. He is also survived by a brother;Robert Lee Grant of Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Mary Amelia Wetz;and brothers;Jesse;David;Benson;John;William Jennings;Earl;Walter and Richard. He was born May 19;1923;in Connellsville;a son of the late Arthur and Mabelle Callaway Gordan. He was employed with Stern Furniture Co.until his retirement. He was a resident of the Pricedale area most of his life;formerly living in Connellsville. He was active in all church functions and was a member of Teamsters Local Union 872. He was a U.S.Army veteran.
