Richard H.Hamer;1359 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;April 9;1981 in the Brownsville General Hospital. He was 86. Born Jan.21;1895 in Bridgeville;he was the son of the late Edward and Elizabeth Hopkins Hamer. Mr.Hamer had lived in Fairhope for over 60 years. Mr.Hamer retired in 1960 as an inspector in the tube division at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport plant. He was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church. Mr.Hamer was preceded in death by his wife;Honor Breakwell Hamer on Dec.23;1969. Mr. Haywood was a former
employee of the Allenport
Plant of the former Pittsburgh Steel Company.

death by a sister; Lucille
Horst Sneed; on June 29; 1979.
She was a graduate of
Charleroi schools; and
California State College; and
did graduate work at the
University of Pittsburgh; and
taught in Charleroi schools
until her retirement.
On her retirement as a
teacher; she became an active
member of the American
Cancer Society volunteers of
Charleroi.
She was a past president of
the Charleroi Gothic Club;
and was a member of the
Charleroi Athena Club;
Retired Teachers of
Washington County; the Pennsylvania
State Education
Association (PSEA) and the
National Education Association
(NBA).
She is survived by cousins

Josephine Belles and Louise
O’Connor; both of the State of
Florida; Richard Bennett of
Pittsburgh; Pa.; and Vera
Vance; and a brother-in-law;
Murel Sneed; of Speers.
