On Sept. 14; 1977; he had
celebrated 50 years of marriage to his wife;Isabelle Clark Hurley;who survives. Mrs.Hurley was for many years Family Page editor of The Valley Independent and is still a contributing columnist. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 50 years;Mr.Hurley retired in November 1976 from employment with the Gimbel’s Department Store in South Hills Village. He was a member of the former Trinity Episcopal Church in Monessen. In addition to his wife;Mr.Hurley is survived by a daughter;Mrs.A.James (Jean) Morley;of Weirton;W.Va.;a son;Kenneth Robert Clark;of Belle Vernon;three brothers;David of McKeesport;George of Daytona Beach;Fla.;and Richard of Virginia Beach;Va.;seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Vigil will be held Wednesday at 3:45 p.m.in the funeral home. Anna Hecklick of 418 Sixth St.;Monessen;died Friday;March 12;1982 in the Mon Valley Hospital. She was 62. Mrs.Hecklick was born July 27;1919 in Pennsylvania;a daughter of the late John and Ahatia Pihota Warholic. A member of St.Cajetan Church;Monessen;Mrs.Hecklick was employed at Mon Valley Hospital at the time of her death. She was preceded in death by her husband;William;in 1975. Survivors include one daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Sandy) Greco of Donora;one son;William Hecklcik Jr.of Charleroi;six grandchildren;three brothers;Mike Warholic abd Frank Warholic;both of Monessen;and Andrew Warholic of Long Island;N.Y.;and one sister;Mrs.Julia Carpenter of Largo;Fla. Alice B.Hite;of Valley Manor;Monesssen;died Monday morning;Dec.11;1981;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was 89. Mrs.Hite was born Sept.18;1892;in Tyrone;Pa.;and had lived in Monessen most of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband;James A.Hite;in 1951;and by a son;Lloyd. She was a Protestant by faith. Mrs.Hite is survived by two daughters;Mrs.Margaret Crail of New Kensington;Pa.;and Mrs.George (Violet) Winstone of Belle Vernon;RD 3;and a number of nieces and nephews. Harold G.Harmon of 117 Lee Drive;Belle Vernon;Rostraver Twp.;died Wednesday;June 10;1981;at 11:10 p.m.in Shadyside Hospital;Pittsburgh. He was 62. He was born Oct.18;1918 in Baltimore;Md.;and had been a Belle Vernon resident for the past 21 years. Mr.Harmon was employed as a salesman for Beacon Supply Co.and also was a musician. He had played the harmonica and entertained troops with various U.S.O.clubs and also played with the Borr Minovich Band;Harmonica Masters;and Johnny Puleo and the Harmonica Gang. He was a U.S.Navy veteran of World War II. Mr.Harmon was Protestant by faith. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Masonic Lodge No.643 and the Fellows Club of Pittsburgh. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter;Mrs.Barbara Winter;in 1969. Survivors include his spouse;Mary Reho Tintori;a son;Thomas Harmon of Rosetree;Pa;two daughters;Mrs.Charles (Terry) Slotterback of Lester;Pa.;and Mrs.Joseph (Betty Jean) Lombardo of Voorhes;N.J.;two brothers;Carroll and Charles Harmon;both of Mantua;N.J.;two sisters;Mrs.Iva Mae Strenge of Aldan;Pa.;and Mrs.Evelyn Small of Mantua;N.J.;and 18 grandchildren.
