Mr.Huber was born August 22;1908;in Grafton;W.Va.;a son of the late Harry and Alma Layman Huber. He was a member of the Peoples Bible Church;Belle Vernon. Mr.Huber;a member of the United Mine Workers of America;retired from the Cresent No.2 Mine in 1956. A Belle Vernon resident since 1946;he was a former resident of the Charleroi and Coal Center areas. John G.Huscroft of Hempfield Towers in Greensburg;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Friday;Sept.21;1984;at 12:10 p.m. in the Westmoreland Manor. He was 91. Mr.Huscroft was born in England on Oct.3;1892;a son of the late George and Mary Jane Huscroft. He lived in Greensburg since 1979 and prior to that spent most of his life in the Belle Vernon area. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Barbara Sterling Huscroft;on July 17;1978. Survivors include a son;Norman Huscroft of Belle Vernon;a daughter-in-law;Sarafine Huscroft of Belle Vernon;two grandchildren;Scott and Greg Huscroft of Belle Vernon;and a great-granddaughter;Renee Lynn Huscroft of Belle Vernon. Elmer J. (Hackie) Hackenson of 706 Speer St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly on Sunday;Sept.9;1984;at 6:30 p.m. in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was 64. Mr.Hackenson was born March 20;1920;in Scotthaven;a son of the late Harry and Elvina Whiteman Hackenson Sr. He attended the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. A member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659;Mr Hackenson spent most of his life in the Belle Vernon area. He graduated from Belle Vernon High School in 1938. Mr.Hackenson was a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Coast Guard. After leaving the service;he was employed as an engineer for Dravo Corporation;working on the Mississippi River. In 1952 Mr.Hackanson returned to Belle Vernon when he and his wife became owners and operators of the Irwin Flower Shop in Belle Vernon until retiring Aug.1;1984. In addition to his parents he was prededed in death by two sisters;Bertha and Sylvia. Survivors include his wife;Lida Irwin Hackenson;his son and daughter-in-law;Larry L.and Barbara Hackenson of Whitehall;a brother;Jack Hackenson of Marietta;ohio;three sisters;Mrs. Henry (Thelma) Schmidt and Violet Hackenson;both of Belle Vernon;and Mary Momyer of Bowling Green;Ohio;and several nieces and nephews.
