Mrs.Hill was born Oct.4;1908;in Charleroi;a daughter of the late Fenton and Grace Morris Simpson. She was a member of the Heritage Hills Tabernacle Church;Belle Vernon. Her husband;George Hill;died in 1989. Four brothers;Theodore;Harry;Thomas and Henry Simpson;and one sister;Dorothy Green;are also deceased. She is survived by cousins. He was a retired truck
driver.
Mr. Hewitt was a Mormon by

He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict; having served
yith the U.S. Army Airborne.
Mr. Hewitt was a member of

Joseph J.Hoffman;101;of 62 Johnston St.;Belle Vernon;died Monday;July 11;1994;at 10:59 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital Inc.;Carroll Township. He was born March 9;1893;in Austria;Hungary. Mr.Hoffman was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. He was formerly a director in the Bellmarette School District;a former member of the Belle Vernon Water Authority and former zoning;building and health inspector for Belle Vernon Borough. He was very active in civic endeavors and for many years sponsored the annual banquet for Meals on Wheels volunteers. He retired in 1938 as superintendent at the former Victoria Coal Company in Pricedale. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Mary Kekely Hoffman;on Feb.18;1983;two sons;Edward Hoffman in 1966 and Joseph Hoffman in 1980 and a brother;John Mateka. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law;James V.and Joanne Hoffman of Belle Vernon and Retired Col.Paul L.and Heidi Hoffman of Huntsville;Ala.;two daughters;Mrs.Albert (Patricia) Zidek of Coal Center and Betty Ann Tonkavitch of Newport News;Va.;15 grandchildren;nine great-grandchildren;and one sister;Ann Neville of Struthers;Ohio. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Belle Vernon where she served on the Missionary Circle;Nurses Board and Pastor’s Aide. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Lucious Harris. She was past president and past treasurer of the Hungarian Club Ladies Auxiliary of Monessen.
