He moved to Monessen 47
years ago. He was a steward
with the Wayman AME Church;
Monessen; and a member of the
George Washington Carver
Lodge No. 8 AF&AM of West
Newton for many years; until it
merged with St. James Lodge
No. 7 AF&AM; Monessen; where
he was past junior deacon and
tyler.
Mr. Huston is survived by a
daughter; Stephanie Huston
Brown Workman of Monessen; a
granddaughter; Nikole Brown;
two great-granddaughters;
Stephanie Amber and Cynthea
Nicholle; a brother; Glover Lee
Huston of Verona Beach; Fla.;
and nieces; nephews and
friends.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Bobbie Harrell Huston;
three brothers; Forrest; Adolph
and Freddie Lee; and three
sisters; Delta; Lillie Dee and
Estella.
Friends will be received at the
Wayman AME Church; Reed
Avenue; Monessen; Friday from
2 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m.in the Wayman AME Church with the Rev. Goodfellow Mugala officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Hall was born Oct.16;1905;in Weston;W.Va.;a daughter of the late George and Clara Nicoletti Nucci. She had been employed as a salesperson and seamstress for Gilbert’s Ladies’Fashion Store in Charleroi for many years and was also a seamstress for other ladies’fashion stores in Charleroi. Mrs.Hall was a member of Mary;Mother of The Church Parish and the former St.Jerome Roman Catholic Church;Charleroi. She had lived in Charleroi for most of her life. Two brothers;Fred and George Nucci;are deceased. Surviving are one brother;Louis Nucci;of Toms River;N.J.;two sisters;Celestine (Chel) Lavery of Belle Vernon and Vera Pettko of Monessen;and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesdy from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A Prayer Service will be held Thursday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a 10 a.m.Mass of Christian Burial in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Hurford Bob Hale;79;of North Ft.Myers;Fla.;died Tuesday;June 2;1992;at his residence with his wife Jeannette;and grandaughter;Thessaly;present. He was born in Speers;Pennyslvania on February 14;1913 to the late Alfred and Marion Hale. He was preceded in death by a sister Joanna Gaines;and four brothers;William;Russell;Alfred;and Harry. He is survived by his wife of 58 years;Jeannette whom he married in March;1934 in Clearing;Illinois. They met at a Valentine’s Day Dance in Chicago. He is also survived by three children;sons Robert of Pasadena;Cal.and Alan of Belle Fonitaine;Ohio;one daughter;Lynda Wilkerson of Painesville;nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr.Hale was a 32nd degree Mason and was a life member of Boulevard Lodge 882 & F&AM of Illinois and also a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite;Valley of Cleveland and The Araba Temple;Mystic Order of the Shrine. Mr.Hale worked in the defense industry during World War II in Chicago and later moved to Cleveland. There he worked in sales servicing the aircraft and automotive industries. He and his wife started their own business;Haleco;in Euclid;Ohio in 1961 and built that business and retired to Ft.Myers;Fla.in the early 1980s. In Euclid;Ohio Mr.Hale was active in the YMCA leadership;served on the Euclid;Ohio Zoning Board;and was active in the East Shore Methodist Church. He enjoyed groups of people;often initiating fun and laughter. He played the piano modestly and entertained children and grandchildren by playing and singing songs that brought people to laughter. His grandchildren refer to him as Grampa Ho Ho . He enjoyed photography;especially taking photos of flowers and animals and many of his photos decorated their Florida home.

Anna Hackenson;77;of Granny’s Nook;Belle Vernon;formerly of Wood Street;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;June 11;1992;at 2:40 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. She was born May 30;1915;in Belle Vernon; daughter of the late Nick and Minnie Beyer Konecheck. A lifelong Belle Vernon area resident;she was a former member of the Tuesday Evening Civic Club of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Harry Hackenson;who died June 22;1979;and 2 brothers;Herbert and Norman Konecheck. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law;Thomas and Gloria Hackenson of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Ruth Ann;one brother;William Konecheck of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Katherine Boltz of Bradenton;Fla.;and Emma Jernberg of Beaver Falls;five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
