Mrs. Harper was born Jan.
26; 1912; in Utica; Ohio; a
daughter of the late Lemuel and
Anna Oates Kidwell.
A member of the United
Methodist Church of Monessen;
she had been employed at the
Normandie Restaurant in
Monessen for many years before
her retirement.
She is survived by two
daughters; Mrs. Delbert (Colleen) Bucci of Harmony and
Mrs. Lawrence (Dawn) Devore
of Monessen; a son and
daughter-in-law; William E.
and Loretta Harper of Monessen; two sisters; Midge Smith of
Monessen and Marie Kidwell of
Brookville; Ohio; eight grandchildren;nine great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents; she was
preceded in death by her husband; Donald W. Harper; two
brothers; Kenneth Kidwell and
Leonard Kidwell; a sister;
Audra Rankin and a niece;Verna Straub.
Friends will be received on
Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
at the Rhome Funeral Home

Marling E.Haney;69;of Star Junction;died Saturday.Oct.3;1998;at 1:15 p.m. in his home. He was born March 2;1929;in Uniontown; a son of the late Arthur E.and Edna I.Johnson Haney. Mr.Haney was a veteran of the Korean War;serving with the U.S.Army. He was a member of VFW Post 47 of Uniontown. Survivors include two sisters;Faye Mincome of Elizabeth and Joy Folle of Daisytown;and two brothers;Edward Hepple of Charleroi and Gene Hepple of Fayette City. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Audrey Roberts. James E. Hicks; 73; of CharIeroi; died Thursday; May 14;1998;in the emergency room of Mon Valley Hospital.
Born Aug. 30; 1924. in
Washington Township; he was
the son of the late Russell and
Pearl Hough Hicks.
He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Hicks was a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War II and a
member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Helen Hicks; who died Oct.
19; 1991.
Surviving are a daughter and
son-in-law; Linda and Richard
Finley of Dawson R.D.I; and a
sister; Ruth Todd of the state of
Indiana.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
and Saturday until 1 p.m. in the
