12; in Kansas City; Mo.
Mr. Speers; who lived in
Kansas City; was born in Belle
Vernon; Jan.;3;1929; son of the
late Dr. Stephen Speers and
Minerva Mitchell Speers; who
survives.
He had been a resident of
the Kansas City area for the
past 15 years and at the time
of his death was executive
vice president of the 20th Century Financial Corp.
Surviving are his mother;
who lives in Belle Vernon; one
son; Steven M. Speers of
Houston; Texas; three
daughters; Cynthia M. Speers
of Houston; Jodie Speers of
Kansas City and Mrs. Lynda
S. Rounds of Shawnee; Mo.;
three sisters; Mrs. G.T.
Etheridge of Detroit; Mrs
Betty Didrichsen of Monterey;
Calif; and Mrs Charles
Bradley of King of Prussia;
Pa. One granddaughter also
survives.
Services will be held Friday
in the Floral Hills Funeral
Home; Kansas City.

Thomas Gerald Stanley;78;of 321 Main St.;Belle Vernon;a former member of Belle Vernon Area School Board and Belle Vernon Council;died at 11:42 a.m. on Tuesday;March 11;1980 at Mon Valley Hospital. A Protestant by faith;Mr.Stanley was also a former member of the Board of Trustees at California State Teachers College;the Belle Vernon Library Board and the Belle Vernon Water Authority. At the time of his death he was on the Board of Charleroi Goldern Agers. Mr.Stanley was a retired conducter for P&LE Railroad. He retired in 1968. died Thursday; Feb. 28;1980 in
McKeesport Hospital.
She was born Aug. 9;1911; in

Rev. Spadafore was born on

He was a member and
minister of the Universal

Calif.
He was a resident of
Monessen for the last two
years and formerly of Belle
Vernon and Clarksburg; W.
Va.

Helen Jane Stepp Capco; 67; of Fayette City Road; Washington Township; Fayette City; died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday; April 30; 2002; at 2:55 a.m. after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Born Sept. 23; 1934; in Monessen; she was a daughter of Kathleen O’Brien Stepp; who survives and resides in Fayette City; and the late Clair Stepp. Mrs. Capco was a resident of Fayette City for the past 33 years and was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church; Fayette City. She was retired from the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital; where she worked as a registered nurse and was also retired from In Home Health Visiting Nurses of Monessen. Mrs. Capco was one of the founding members of the Washington Township Fayette City Ambulance Services; a former member of the Valley Garden Club; a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Society; and the Handmaids of Holy Spirit Church. In addition to her mother; Mrs. Capco is survived by her husband; Michael Capco; with whom she would have been married 48 years on May 8; 2002; two daughters and sons-in-law; Carol Ann and Anthony Cintron and Susan and Ronald Raymond; all of Belle Vernon; two sons and one daughter-in-law; Michael G. Capco of Florida and Thomas and Laura Capco of Belle Vernon; one sister and brother-in-law; Patricia and Louis Toth of Fayette City; three brothers and sisters-in-law; Carl R. and Elizabeth Stepp of Harrisburg; John and Brenda Stepp of Texas; and Edward and Reta Stepp of Newell; five grandchildren; Aubrey Cintron; and Ashley; Dustin; Jason and Zachary Capco.
