Murel H. Sneed of Charleroi died
Tuesday; Nov 22; 1988; in Mon
Valley Hospital. He was 80.
Mr. Sneed was born July 20; 1908;
in Speers; a son of the late Louis A. and Harriet Hilton Sneed.
He was a member of Christ
Lutheran Church and F&AM Lodge
615; both of Charleroi.
Mr. Sneed was a veteran of World
War II; serving as a technical
sergeant in the U.S. Army’s 1498th
Engineer Foundry.
A graduate of the University of
Pittsburgh with a master’s degree in
education; Mr. Sneed had taught at
the Connely Trade School in Pittsburgh. He had also worked as a job
coordinator for the City of Pittsburgh
School District.
Mr. Sneed was a former Burgess
of the Borough of Speers; and had
also served as a Speers Borough
councilman.
In addition to his parents; he was
preceded in death by his wife;
Lucille Horst Sneed: three brothers
and four sisters.
Survivors include two sisters;
Alma Sneed of Charleroi and
Eleanor Vetter of Fallowfield
Township. Friends will be received Friday
from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the

Steve Joseph Simon of Char-House;Charleroi;died Saturday;Nov.19;1988;in Monongahela Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. Mr.Simon was 71. He was born Jan.1;1917;in Charleroi;a son of the late Imro and Filomena Simon. He was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Charleroi. Mr.Simon was retired from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was preceded in death by his wife;Beatrice Pellick Simmon;a brother;Frank Simon;and three sisters;Frances Jenkins;Pauline Sterdis and Jean Readay. Survivors include one daughter;Mrs.Stewart (Tamie) McCaw of Fayette City;and one sister;Mrs.Joseph (Ann) Bucko of Monessen. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Schrock-Hogan Funeral Home;Inc.;226 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi. Thomas W. Stark Sr.; 84; of Perryopolis; died Saturday; October 1; 1988 at 4:15 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness.
He was born September 21; 1904; in Stockdale; a son of the late Robert and Clementina Gollick Stark.
Mr. Stark was a member of the Little Redstone United Presbyterian Church; Fayette City.
He retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation; Allenport plant.
Mr. Sark was preceded in death by his wife Delila V. Wolfe Stark in 1974 and a granddaughter Ella V. Wood in 1981; four brothers and three sisters.
Surviving are one son; Thomas W. Sark; Jr. at home; four daughters; Mrs. June Wood of Stockdale; Mrs. Doris Menia of Charleroi; Mrs. Lee Condron of Deland; FL; Mrs. Ira Lane Rabatin of Perryopolis; 19 grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother; Howard Stark of Roscoe; two sisters; Mrs. Marybelle Neudorfer of Davie; FL and Mrs. Bessie Flaherty of Elco.
Friends will be received in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home; Main Street; Fayette City;Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday until 2 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Frank J.(Hap) Sezawich;60;of Perryopolis R.D.1;died Tuesday;Sept.20;1988;at 7:15 a.m.at his home. He was born April 1;1928;in Charleroi;a son of the late Matthew and Anna Polka Sezawich. Mr.Sezawich was a member of Brightwell Daugherty American Legion Post No.484 in Fayette City;Fairhope Rod & Gun Club;and Rod & Gun Club bowling league. He served in the U.S.Army in World War II and was retired from the Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corporation at Monessen. Mr.Sezawich was Catholic by faith. He was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife;Helen Kuspert Sezwich;three sons;Karl of Havelock;N.C.;Andrew of Fort Ord;Calif. and Frank of Philadelphia;two daughters;Mrs.Terry Karen Kasely of Pittsburgh and Amy Sezawich at home;two brothers;Cyril of Charleroi and Michael of Coal Center;one sister;Mrs.Dorothy Wavrek of Charleroi;and eight grandchildren. Richard G. Schilling Jr.; of 110
Vernon Dr.; Belle Vernon; died Friday;
Sept. 2;1988; at 8:10 p.m.; at his
home. He was 54.
He was born Jan. 21;1934; in North
Charleroi; a son of Richard W. and
Helen Rusnak Schilling Sr.; who survive
and reside in Monessen.
Mr. Schilling had lived in Belle
Vernon for the past 24 years; moving
into the borough from Monessen. He
was a member of Saint Sebastian
Roman Catholic Church.
He had been employed in the electronics
department of USX Irvin
Works in Dravosburg; and with his
wife owned and operated Paradise
Arcade in North Belle Vemon.
He had served four years in the
U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents; he is
survived by his wife; Betty J.
Schuller Schilling; one son; Richard
M. Schilling of Fort Lauderdale;
Fla.; one daughter; Dana Schilling;
at home; one brother; Edmond
Schilling of Belle Vernon; and one
sister; Mrs. Audrey Klein of
Phoenix; Ariz.
Friends will be received Monday;
Sept. 5; from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in
the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;
