John Schuresko;78;of 516 Bluff St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;July 2;1991;at 12:18 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. He was born Oct.5;1912;in Pricedale;a son of the late Michael and Anna Marena Schuresko. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Gena Pupilli Schuresko;April 25;1986;and by a brother;Melro Schuresko. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;Mr.Schuresko was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. Mr.Schuresko was retired as a press operator from Bethem Machine Shop;Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army;Company A 366th Medical Battalion. Survivors include one brother;Daniel Schuresko of Belle Vernon;and two sisters;Mrs.Amerigo (Anna) Colelli of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Robert (Hazel) Lewis of Pittsburgh. Mr. Shimko was a member of
the Roscoe Sportsmans Club. He
was a 1986 graduate of California
Area High School. He moved
to Florida and attended the
University of Southern Florida for two years. Mr.Shimko received an associate degree in business from St.Petersburg Junior College. He had been working as an air conditioning technician in St.Petersburg;Fla. Mr.Shimko was preceded in death by a brother;David Paul;and maternal grandparents;Harry and Thelma Wilkinson.
