He was employed as a foreman and machinist for the National Carbide Tool and Dye Company of North Versailles. Mr.Simon was a U.S.Army veteran of the Vietnam War. A Catholic by faith;he had been a resident of the Belle Vernon community for the past 25 years. Mr.Simon was vice president of United Steel Workers of America Local Union No.8302 and was also a member of the Arden Calvert Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.167 in Charleroi. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II and was a prisoner of war for two and one-half years in Germany. Mr.Skurkay was a member of American Legion Post No.659;Belle Vernon. was also preceded in death by
her husband; Dr. Stephen
Speers; who died in 1956; and by
a son; Stephen M. Speers; who
died in 1980.

Sonora; Calif.; and Mrs. Charles
