Born Sept. 12; 1914; in Wickhaven; he was a son of the late
Michael and Elizabeth Gurbal
Semancik.
Mr. Semancik was a lifelong
resident of the Belle Vernon
area; where he was a member of
St. Sebastian Roman Catholic
Church.
Mr. Semancik was a retired
mechanic; having worked at the
former Page Division of American Chain and Cable Company;
Monessen.
He was a member of the Hungarian BLS Society of Pricedale;
the Citizens Associaiion of
Pricedale; the Legion Club of
Belle Vernon and the Slovak
Beneficial Society of Roscoe.
Survivors include his wife;
Joanna Tordy Semancik; two
sons and one daughter-in-law;
Andrew E. Jr. and Louise Semancik of Monkton; MD; and
Dennis D. Semancik of New
Cumberland; two; daughters
and sons-in-law; Dorothy and
William Schmidt of Fayette
City R.D. 1 and Barbara and
James Deutsch of Allenport; six
brothers; John Semancik of Van
Voorhis; Michael; Steve; Frank
and Joseph Semancik. all of
Belle Vernon; and Anthony Semancik of Fayette City; two sisters; Mary Miller of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Joseph (Julia)
Kluh of La Plata; MD; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by a
brother; Albert Semancik.

Hazel Glover Santmyer;78;formerly of Lynnwood;died Friday;Jan.3;1997;in Uniontown Hospital. She was born in Accident;Md.;Aug.27;1918;a daughter of the late Clyde and Elnora Kelso Glover. Mrs.Santmyer was a member of the Fayette City United Methodist Church and the Fayette City Women’s Club. She graduated from Accident;Md.High School in 1935. She had resided in Lynnwood since 1947 and had formerly lived in Maryland.
