Stella Sisca;77;of 619 Grant St.;North Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Oct.31;1996;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born Oct.15;1919;in Canonsburg;she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Alice Banahasky. A resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 50 years;Mrs.Sisca was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a veteran of World War II;having served as a sergeant in the Women’s Auxiliary Corps. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Samuel J.Sisca;who died Feb.17;1995;two brothers;Stanley and Walter Banahasky;and one sister;Agnes Milton. Surviving are one son;Samuel J.Sisca Jr.of Belle Vernon;one daughter and son-in-law;Sandra and Dennis Betham of Douglassville;two brothers;Paul Banahasky of Elizabeth and Edward Banahasky of Finleyville;four sisters;Sophie Urkevich of McKeesport and Helen McNatt;Mary Zumza and Alice Fircak;all of Finleyville;and two grandchildren;Amy and Bryan Betham. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Survivors include one son;Leonard A.Stringhill at home;one daughter;Mrs. Edward (Josephine) Balog of West Deer Township;Allison Park;one brother;John Demino of Bagley;and one sister;Mary Upholster of Bagley. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Anthony F.Stringhill;who died Oct.23;1984;one brother;Tony Demino;and one sister;Anna Desance. He was born Feb.15;1914;in Cleveland;Ohio;a son of the late Andrew and Sophia Satonick. Mr.Satonick was a member of St.Clements Roman Catholic Church;Ellsworth. He was a member of the Ellsworth Volunteer Fire Department for the past 40 years. Surviving are his wife;Jean C.Satonick;three sons;Thomas M.Satonick of Florida and Robert M.Satonick and Michael J.Satonick Jr.;both of Ohio;two daughters;Georgeann Bucci of Indiana and Patricia Metcalf of Ohio;one step-son;Jeffrey L.Moore of Greensboro;and several grandchildren. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a step-sister;Ann Miller. There was no public visitation. Interment was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
