She was raised in the Mon Valley and attended school in Pricedale. She resided in Brooklyn;N.Y.;for the past 50 years. Survivors include her husband;Sam Stamper of Gary;Ind. She was also preceded in death by one sister;Mary Lou Thompson West;and one brother;Thomas (Mugsy) Thompson. A resident of Rostraver Township for more than 50 years;Mr.smith was a member of the Smithton Nazarene Church and the Rostraver Lions Club. He was a former member of the United Mine Workers of America and retired from the paint department of the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Rose Dudgeon Smith;who died March 2;1989;and two sisters;Sarah Stewart and Gertrude Lunt. Surviving are two daughters;Myra Smith Dolence of Finleyville and Sharon Smith of Greensburg;two granddaughters;Carolyn Kelly of McMurray and Christina Calbone of Daytona Beach;Fla.;and two great-grandsons;Christian and Colin Kelly.
