Milford Charles Tansmore;74;of 251 Ninth St.;Char House;Charleroi;died Sunday;April 3;1988;at approximately 4 p.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Sept.19;1913;in Youngstown;Ohio;a son of the late William and Susie Armstead Tansmore. He was a retired steelworker from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.;Monessen plant. He had been a resident of Monesen for over 40 years. He was Baptist by faith and a member of the Union Baptist Church;Monessen. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Ruth Phillips Tansmore;two brothers;William and Harvey Tansmore;one sister;Amill Tansmore;and one step-brother;Abe Watkins. Survivors include his wife of seven

Visitation will be held Tuesday
from 7 to 9 p.m. at the William R.
Taylor Funeral Home and Wednesday from 2 through 9 p.m. at the
Union Baptist Church; McMahon
Avenue; Monessen;where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.Leslie Strader;pastor;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Charles R. (Jack) Tennant of Elizabeth Township died Thursday;June 4;1987;in Jefferson Hospital;Jefferson Borough. He was 67. He was a past president of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Company. Mr.Tennant was born Dec.3;1919;in Waynesburg;a son of the late Charles and Estella Braden Tennant. He was a retired mechanic with Fisher Body in West Mifflin. Mr.Tennant was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;having served with the 34th Infantry Division. He was a member of the Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post No.484;Fayette City;the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No.7812;West Newton;and the First Presbyterian Church of Brownsville. He was a former employee of the Page plant of American Chain and Cabel Co.;having retired in 1969 as a micometer reader. He lived in Belle Vernon since 1945. He and his wife;Pearle Holliday Tressler;celeberated their 62nd wedding anniversary in February.
