Rose Caputo Teano;74;of Westmoreland Manor;Greensburg and formerly of the Belle Vernon Apartments;died Friday;Oct.8;1993;at 12:20 a.m. at Westmoreland Manor. She was born May 1;1919;in Rostraver Township;a daughter of the late John and Mary Alessio Caputo. Mrs.Teano was a lifelong member of the Belle Vernon community. She was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the Ladies Guild of the church. Additionally;she was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and the Anita Garibaldi Beneficial Society of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Samuel Teano;Oct.31;1980;a brother;Joseph Caputo;and two sisters;Seraphina Caputo and Theresa Caputo. She is survived by two sisters;Mrs.Joe (Catherine) Misher Sr.and Mrs.Ralph (Virginia) Swantek;both of Belle Vernon. Mrs.Thomas was born Dec.28;1908;in Mays Landing;N.J.;a daughter of the late Harry and Bertha Risley Stanger. She had been an elementary teacher for many years in the Belle Vernon school system and had also been a substitute teacher for many years. Mrs.Thomas had been a resident of Belle Vernon for many years. An avid bridge player;she belonged to numerous bridge clubs over the years. Mrs.Thomas was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon and the Mimiriam Literary Society. Surviving are one son;Richard Thomas;formerly of Belle Vernon;three sisters;Evelyn Aspy of Clarksburg;W.Va.;Gertrude Spicci of Hartford;Conn.;and Emma Anderson of Queens;N.Y.
