John Yonash;Box 44;Marion Villa;Arnold City;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;February 25;1979;in the Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Twp. He was 68. He was born April 10;1910 in Washington Twp.;the son of the late George and Ella Kopcha Yonash. Mr.Yonash was a retired coal miner. He was also a veteran of World War II;having served with the U.S.Navy. He was a member of the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;VFW Post 3557;Belle Vernon;and the PNA Lodge No.976;Arnold City. Mr.Yonash is survived by two brothers;Michael Yonash of Arnold City and Paul Yonash of Daisytown;and three sisters;Mrs.Anna Lovish of Fayette City;and Mrs.Edward (Julia) Swantek and Mrs.Mary Sebetich;borh of Arnold City. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Fayette City;on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.at the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in the Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church;Fayette City;with the Rev.Thomas Rinn;pastor;as celebrant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family requests;in lieu of flowers;memorial contributions be made to the Washington Twp.Fayette City Community Ambulance Service (CAS). Hospital following a lengthy
illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Yusko was born May 9;
1894; in Austria-Hungary; a
daughter of the late John and
Julia Plena.
She was a member of Holy
Resurrection Orthodox
Church; Belle Vernon.
Survivors include her
widower; Charles Yusko Sr.;
four sons; John Yusko of
Pricedale; Michael and
George Yusko; both of Fayette
City; and Joseph Yusko of
Goose Greek; S.C.; four
daughters; Mrs. Anna
Komacko of Star Junction;
Mrs. Mary Kossol of
Monongahela R.D.; Mrs.
Helen Morozek of Fayette City
R.D.; and Mrs. Nancy Mucci
of Perryopolis; one brother;

grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death
by a son; Charles Yusko Jr.;
on Dec. 18;1968.

John A. Whitey Walters;90;of Speers Hill;died Monday;Sept.4;2000;in Washington County Health Center. Born Aug.11;1910;in Fairhope;he was the son of the late John N.and Marie Tannka Walters. Mr.Walters was employed by Corning Glass for 19 years and was retired from Westinghouse. He was a member of Speers United Methodist Church;Golden Agers and the Eighty Four Rifle Club. Survivors include his wife;Margaret (Midge) Hazuka Walters;one daughter;Lisa Anne Behe of Altoona;one brother;Eugene Walters of Lynnwood;and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by three sisters;Esther Walters;Marie Gladstein and Lillian Siren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the LEONARD M.PAVLIC FUNERAL HOME INC.;235 Fallowfield Ave.;Charleroi;where funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m.;with the Rev.Jeff St.Clair officiating.
