Born OCt.3;1931;in Leisenring;she was a daughter of the late Michael and Vera Turanik Pasulka. Catholic by faith;she had been a resident of Belle Vernon the past 48 years. Mrs.Zimmerman had owned and operated the former Irma’s Restaurant in North Belle Vernon for 15 years. She had also worked for Parente TV Sales and Service in North Belle Vernon. Samuel Zabawsky;85;of Lynnwood;Belle Vernon;died Friday;July 16;1999;at 2:08 a.m.in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in North Charleroi on April 20;1914.a son of the late Nicholas and Mary Bubernik Zabawsky. Mr.Zabawsky lived in the Belle Vernon area most of his life;where he was a member of the Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church. He was a reader and member of the church choir. He retired from the Allenport plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel and had also worked as a mechanic. Mr.Zabawsky was a World War II veteran;holding the rank of first sergeant in the U.S.Army Air Corps. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Marie Cannoni Zabawsky;on Aug.10;1988;and by three brothers;Wassil;Andrew; and Steve Zabawsky.
