Pierce; Fla.; she was a daughter
of the late James Daniel and
Mary Lou Comer Zollars.
Survivors include two sisters;
Mary Lou Francia of West Newton and Rachael McCauley of
Columbus; Ohio.
Burial was in Belle Vernon
Cemetery. The Dalfonso-Billick
Funeral Home; Timothy J. Billick; funeral director; was in charge of arrangements.
SAM ZELI
Sam Zeli; 81; of 427 Hill St;
Belle Vernon; died Sunday;
Sept. 3; 1995; at 11:07 a.m. in
his home.
Born April 13; 1914; in Italy;
he was the son of the late Vincent and Laura Catinaro Zeli.
A lifelong resident of Belle
Vernon; Mr. Zeli was a member
of St. Sebastian Roman
Catholic Church.
A U.S. Army veteran of
World War II and a recipient of
the Bronze Star; Mr. Zeli was a
50-year member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659.
He was also a member of the
Belle Vernon Golden Age
Assembly.
He retired in 1977 from the
Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Sceel Corp.; where
he had worked as a skilled laborer in the coke plant division.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
brothers; Tony and Furman
Zeh.
Surviving are his wife;
Teresa Clausi Zeli; one son and
daughter-in-law; Vincent and
Helen Zeli of Belle Vernon; two
brothers; Bruno Zeli and William Zeli; both of Belle Vernon;
and two grandsons; Lance Zeli
of Belle Vernon and Sam Zeli of
Youngwood

p.m. in the Leonard J Parzynski Funeral Home; 626
Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon;where a Prayer service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m.;followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Carl Zazac;77;of Monessen;died Tuesday;Dec.13;1994;in Mon Valley Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct.12;1917;in Monessen;a son of the late Andrew and Fannie Wojonoska Zazac. He was a veteran of World War II;having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters. He was retired from Page Steel and Wire Division April 30;1972;and from Corning Glass Works in Charleroi on Aug.1;1984. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1190. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Church;Monessen. Survivors include his wife of 48 years;Mary Hakulin Zazac;one daughter and son-in-law;Karlyn and Jack Bell of Belle Vernon;one son and daughter-in-law;David and Dianne Zazac of Pittsburgh;one granddaughter;Anna Zazac;one sister;Mary Balant of Monessen;and one brother;Robert Zazac of New Stanton. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers. Andy Zip Zabawsky;74;of Charleroi;died Tuesday;Oct.11;1994;at his home. Born Dec.10;1919;in Webster;he was the son of the late Nicholas and Mary Buberniak Zabawsky. Mr.Zabawsky was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church;Charleroi. He retired from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.;where he had been employed in the blast furnace department. After his retirement;he was affliated with Pittsburgh Paint and Glass Company. He was also a member of the SMS Italia Unita;Charleroi. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II;serving with the 420th Armored Field Artillery Battalion in the European Theatre. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;Wassail Zabawsky. Surviving are his wife;Mildred Stoogie Stetz Zabawsky;one daughter and son-in-law;Madeline (Madge) and Dr.John DuBose of Houston;Texas;two brothers;Samuel Zabawsky of Belle Vernon and Steve Zabawsky of Las Vegas;Nev.;and one sister;Ann Serbak of Belle Vernon. Phoenix; Ariz..
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by two
sisters; Elaine Zollars and Hilda
Zollars; who died Nov. 2;1990.

Louisa Athalia Zambelli;104;of Monessen;died Wednesday;Sept.15;1993;in Westmoreland Manor;Greensburg. She was born April 18;1889;in Udina;Italy;a daughter of the late Richard and Maria Franks. She was a resident of Monessen for many years. She attended St.Paul’s Lutheran Church;Monessen. She was a member of the Ladies Italian Mutual Aid Society;Monessen. She was also past president of the Ladies Society of the N.I.P.A. Survivors include three daughters;Norma Sacchini of Willowick;Ohio;Dolores (Dolly) O’Toole of Richmond;Va.;Mrs.C.Eugene (Gloria) Baker of West Newton;nine grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Diego Zambelli in December 1952;and one son;Theodore Zambelli;who died at age four.
