Tyrone Gallmore;19-months-old;died July 15;1964;in the bathtub of his home. He was the son of Mr.and Mrs. Willie Gallmore;341 Eleventh St.;Donora. He apparently drowned in the tub after he turned on the water while left alone for about 10 minutes. Besides his mother and father;the boy is survived by four brothers;Lewis;Harold;Eric and Roscoe;and three sisters;Arlene;Sandra and Betty Jane;all at home. John William Stewart Gaul;a former Belle Vernon fire chief and Legion commander;died in Shadyside Hospital;Pittsburgh;Tuesday;Feb.18;1964 at 8:45 a.m. Mr.Gaul who lived at 704 Fayette Road;Lynnwood;Belle Vernon;had been a hospital patient for the past three weeks. He was 69 years of age. He was a past commander and charter member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 and a past chief of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. No.2. He was also a member of the Belle Vernon Christian Church. He retired from the Monessen Southwestern Railroad;Pittsburgh Steel Co.;in 1961. Surviving are his widow;Mrs.Myrtle Van Riper Gaul;two daughters;Mrs.Robert (Jacqueline) Baldwin;Massawados;Va.;and Mrs.Louis (Constance) Ceccarelli of Belle Vernon. Five grandchildren also survive. He was born in Germany Nov.12;1880;a son of the late Henry and Amanda Lobeck Guder. He was a member of the California Methodist Church and United Mine Workers of America Local 1787. He retired as a coal miner in November;1946. MAURICE HENRY GERARD
Maurice H.Gerard;66;of Woodward Heights;Charleroi R.D. 1 died Friday night;Nov.22;1963 at 9:30 o’clock in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. A retired millworker;Mr.Gerard was taken to the hospital Friday morning with second and third degree burns he received in an accident in his home. He was burned about the face;chest;arms and legs his physician said.
According to Fire Chief Joseph Huscroft; Mr. Gerard was
siphoning gasoline from the tank
of his car in a closed garage
when the fumes apparently
came into contact with a furnace or hot water heater in the
basement and caused a mild
explosion.
Mr. Gerard was born Oct. 3;
1897; in France and lived for
many years in the Charleroi area. Survivors include his wife;Ida Brassart Gerard; and three daughters; Mrs. Cleo (Helen)
Yeager and Mrs. Earl (Margaret) Brutout; both of Carroll
Twp.; and Mrs. Roger (Eileen)
Nesti of Fairfield; Calif. Four
grandchildren also survive.
