Howard Gollick;71;of Charleroi R.D.1;died Friday;Aug.26;1966;at 1:50 a.m.at his home. He was born in Roscoe;March 11;1895;the son of William and Drusilla Abbott Gollick. He was a veteran of World War I and was a retired coal miner. He is survived by one brother;William Gollick of Dearborn;Mich.;and two sisters;Mrs.Ella Pomerson of Sandusky;Ohio;and Mrs.Emma McCusker of Charleroi. Dennis Raymond Glover;22;of 128 Homewood Ave.;Belle Vernon;was pronounced dead at 8 a.m.Thursday moring;July 28;1966;at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital following an auto accident earlier in the morning on Route 70 near Trocadero Motor Lodge in Rostraver Twp. Glover;who married Patricia Matrosky on June 11;was employed at Combustion Engineering Co.in Indiana;Pa.;and was enroute to work. He was a passenger in a car with Nick Chomko;driver;and David Grunick;both of Monessen;who were also killed in the crash. Andrew Latkanic of Monessen;also in the car;was injured. Mr.Glover was a member of Evangelical United Brethren Church of Monessen. He had served in the United States Navy for three years. Surviving besides his widow are his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Warren Zaph of Belle Vernon;a sister;Garnet Glover of New York City;and a brother;Karol W.Glover of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 7 p.m.;July 29. Mrs.Georgia W.Guiler;100;one of Belle Vernon’s oldest residents;died Sunday;June 26;1966;at 2:30 a.m. in Haven Crest Nursing and Convalescent Home;Monongahela R.D. Mrs.Guiler is the widow of Dr.Andrew Guiler who preceded her in death 59 years ago. Born in Fayette City;the youngest of six children;Mrs.Guiler moved with her family to Belle Vernon when she was three years old. She moved to 251 Main St. with her husband 64 years ago where he practiced medicine until his death in 1907. Mrs.Guiler attended Belle Vernon schools and was graduated from California State College with a teaching certificate. She did not teach after graduation;however. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon since her family moved from Fayette City. Lester Gales;59;of 327 Philip St.;Speers Hill;who was a U.S.Lock engineer;died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital yesterday at 10:30 p.m. Mr.Gales had lived most of his life in the Speers vicinity. He was born in Coal Center;Sept.30;1905;the son of the late Joseph and Mary Murphy Gales. Surviving are his widow;Elizabeth Gartland Gales;one son;John L.of Speers;two daughters;Mrs.David (Elizabeth) McClaskey of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Joseph (Margaret) Flint of Youngstown;Ohio;seven grandchildren. Friends are being received at the Francis C.Slezak Funeral Home;Chrleroi;and funeral services will be held there Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.James Irey in charge.
