Steve (Fotis) Gialas;of 321 Green St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;March 12;1959 at a.m.;following a lingering illness. He was a former Monessen businessman coming to Monessen in 1906. In 1927 he moved to Belle Vernon. He was last employed at the Associated Box Corp.in New Eagle. He was a member of the St.Spyriden Greek Orthodox Church and an honorary member of the Belle Vernon Musical Society. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Leona Gialas;one daughter;Mrs.George (Angelina) Essey;of Belle Vernon;three grandchildren;one brother;James;of Belle Vernon and one sister;Irene in Greece. Visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.beginning on Friday;March 13. Services will held in St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church;Monessen;Monday;March 16;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Joakim Isidorides;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
