Miss Metz was born June 19;
1893; and for thirty – four years
was a teacher in the Monessen schools. She retired in 1952.
She was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon Chapter; Order of Eastern
Star; and the Regulars Sunday
School class.
She is survived by her father;Conrad Metz of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held there Tuesday;April 19;1955;at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.George Clarke;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. She had been reported in ill health for seversl months. She was a well-known Belle Vernon resident;and had been news correspondent of The Charleroi Mail there for several years. Surviving are her husband;James E.Miller;a daughter;Charlotte;and a son;James W.;all at home;her parents;Mr.and Mrs. W.J.Ryan;Scottdale;a sister;Mrs.Milton (Charlotte) Dolan;Scottdale;and four brothers;Raymond;George and Wilbert;of Connellsville;and Donald;of Uhrichsville;Ohio.
