in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital Saturday;April; 16; 1955; at 9:35 a. m.
Miss Metz was born June 19;
1893; and for thirty – four years
was a teacher in the Monessen schools. She retired in 1952.
She was a member of the First
Presbyterian Church; Belle Vernon Chapter; Order of Eastern
Star; and the Regulars Sunday
School class.
She is survived by her father;Conrad Metz of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the late home. Services will be held there Tuesday;April 19;1955;at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.George Clarke;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Mrs.Margaret Moyer of 571 Isabella avenue;North Charleroi;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Saturday;March 19;1955;at 7:30 a.m. Francis C.Slezak is the funeral director.

Richard Michel;60;of Welaka;Florida;died Friday;February 11;1955;at 1 p.m. He was born October 6;1894 in Pittsburgh;Pa. He was a member of the Franklin Lodge;F.and A.M.;and was a veteran of World War One. He is survived by his wife;Hester Cook Michel;formerly of the Belle Vernon district. Mrs.Hazel I.Miller;43;of 210 Wood street;Belle Vernon;died Friday afternoon;December 17;1954;at 2:10 p.m. in Charleoi-Monessen Hospital where she was taken Wednesday night after a sudden illness. She had been reported in ill health for seversl months. She was a well-known Belle Vernon resident;and had been news correspondent of The Charleroi Mail there for several years. Surviving are her husband;James E.Miller;a daughter;Charlotte;and a son;James W.;all at home;her parents;Mr.and Mrs. W.J.Ryan;Scottdale;a sister;Mrs.Milton (Charlotte) Dolan;Scottdale;and four brothers;Raymond;George and Wilbert;of Connellsville;and Donald;of Uhrichsville;Ohio. Friends will be received at the Harold R. Toner Funeral Home;during visiting hours;1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.;until Monday;Dec.20;at 2:00 p.m.;when services will be held in charge of Rev.William Schatz;of the Belle Vernon Methodist Church. James R. Murphy;67;of 625 Henry street;Belle Vernon;died in the Mercy hospital;Wednesday December 8;1954;at 5 a.m. H was a member of St.Sebastian Church;and Local 2148 U.M.W.A.Pricedale. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.James (Mary) Murphy;three brothers;Patrick of Fayette City;R.D.1;Austin J.Murphy;Sr.;of Speers;and Emmett Murphy of Monessen;and one sister;Mrs.Alice Smyth of Monessen. She is survived by her husband;Guy F.Martin;three sons;William O.Martin of Charleroi;Frank Vail Martin;Roscoe;and Aldan D.Martin at home;one daughter;Miss Olga Martin at home;and four grandchildren.
