He was born in Belle Vernon on May 4;1912 and was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. He served in the U.S.Navy during World War II. His son;Matthew Lemon of Pricedale;died Feb.10;and was buried yesterday;Tuesday;Feb.14;1973. Mr.Lemon was born in Sumpter;S.C.;May 10;1888;and lived in Belle Vernon 45 years. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;and was chairman of the Desacon Board. He was also a member of the Trustee Board and had served 20 years as Sunday School superintendent.
