Residents today mourned the passing of Mr.North Belle Vernon. James A.Miller;75;justice of the peace for 30 years in that borough;a former burgess;fire chief and municipal leader;died at his home;607 Henry St.;North Belle Vernon on Sunday July 10;1955;at 4 p.m. For almost half a century Squire Miller was identified with practically every civic and community advancement project in the north borough. As a councillor of the Junior Order of American Mechanics he also gained a wide reputation throughout the Monongahela Valley for work in this lodge. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Survivors include his wife Mrs.Edith Richards Miller;two sons;Howard and James Miller of Belle Vernon;one daughter;Mrs.Beatrice Dessent;Clarksburg;W.Va.;and one brother;William of Belle vernon. Two grandchildren also survive.
