Verna Sapko Lutes; 71; of 218 Chestnut St.; Stockdale;died Thursday;Dec.23;1976; at 12:10 p.m. in Presbyterian-University Hospital; Pittsburgh. She was born Oct. 14;1905 in Stockdale; a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Bersok Sapko. Mrs. Lutes was a former nurses’ aide at the Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital and was a member of Holy Ghost Greek Catholic Church; Charleroi. Her husband; William J. Lutes Sr.; died in 1958. Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Harry (Betty) DiBiase of Vineland; N.J. and Mrs. Anthony (Anna Mae) Priglia of Clairton; two sons; William J. Lutes Jr. of Stockdale and Robert A. Andrew Dennis Luzanski;57;of 646 Graham St.;Belle Vernon;died suddenly at 9:05 a.m. Tuesday;Nov.2;1976;in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;born there on Nov.24;1918;a son of the late John and Ann Luzanski. Mr.Luzanski was employed at the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. He was a member of St.Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen;was past commander and current finance officer of American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon;and belonged also to the Legion Club of Belle Vernon;Allenport Rod and Gun Club and American Slavonic Citizens Club of Fayette City. He was a veteran of world War II;having served in the U.S.Army Air Corps. Mr.Luzanski was preceded in death by a sister;Mary Luzanski;in 1960;and a brother;George Luzanski;in 1936. Mr.Lovich also was a member of the Fayette County Firemen’s Association;Fraternal Order of Eagles 1390;Charleroi;and the Fayette City Golden Agers Club.
