Mrs.Maude Estella Martin;78;of 445 Henry street;Belle Vernon;died in Women’s hospital;Pittsburgh;Tuesday;November 30;1954;at 4:01 p.m. Mrs.Martin was born in Pennsylvania;September 3;1876;and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. She is survived by her husband;Guy F.Martin;three sons;William O.Martin of Charleroi;Frank Vail Martin;Roscoe;and Aldan D.Martin at home;one daughter;Miss Olga Martin at home;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer-Ferguson Funeral Home during visiting hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Services will be held there Friday;December 3;1954;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Herbert G.Mountain;pastor of the West Newton Baptist Church;and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. daughter Mrs. Harry W. Steinman;
46 Penn street; Tuesday;
July;.20; 1954; at 12:20 a. m. after
an illness of several years of
a heart condition.
She was born near Adamsburg;
Westmoreland County; Sept. 6;
1872; a daughter of Michael and
Kathryne Roose Croushore.
She was married twice. On June
18; 1896; she was married to Edwin
S. Guiler of Belle Vernon. Mr.
Gullar died April 2; 1908. She was
united in marriage April 30; 1919;
to Samuel McKean; also of Belle
Vernon. He died Dec. 2; 1935.
To the first marriage were born
four children.
Mrs. McKean was a member of
the Second Presbyterian Church
here and of the Martha V. Paul
Chapter No. 404 Order of Eastern
Star. She attended the schools of
Westmoreland County and
Greensburg Seminary.
She is survived by one daughter;
Mae; wife of Harry W. Steinman
of 46 Penn street; Washington;
one son; Karl E. Guiler of
Delahope Farms; Columbia; N. J.;
three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren;
and three stepchildren;
Mrs. Grace Wescott; Mrs.
Glenn Lynn; and Robert McKean;
all of Belle Vernon. Two sons;
Paul and Bryan; preceded her in death. Friends will be received at the Richie and Piatt Funeral Home in Washington after 7 p.m.Tuesday;with services to be held there Thursday;July 22;at 2 p.m. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
