Keith Roberts;44;of 311 Speer St.;Belle Vernon;who had been custodian of Belle Vernon’s post office over 20 years;died at 1:30 a.m. Monday;May 15;1967 in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital. Mr.Roberts had been ill since December;1966. He was a member of the Christian Church;Musical Society;Sons of Italy;American Legion Post 659;all of Belle Vernon;old Belle Vernon Blue and Gold Cadets and North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Dept. A veteran of World War II;he served in the European Theater and was the first Belle Vernon area man sent home because of wounds received in action. Mr.Roberts was born in Belle Vernon on Junes 16;1922. Surviving are his parents;Samuel and Leona Amalong Roberts of Belle Vernon;one sister;Mrs.Gayle Briselli of Briidgeville. Friends are being received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon. Service there Thursday;May 18;at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. John Bowers and the Rev.Charles Colst;pastor of Belle Vernon’s First Baptist Church;officiating. Full military rites will be conducted by Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Mrs.Sally (Biagini) Richie;32;of Charleroi R.D.1 (Twilight);was killed in an auto accident Wednesday;Oct.19;1966;shortly before 11 p.m. Mrs. Richie was born April 15;1934;in Charleroi;the daughter of Chris and Sally Heino Biagini of Craven Hills;who survive. She was educated in Charleroi public schools and was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Charleroi. She was employed as a Dispatcher by the Daniels Trucking Co.
