Edward Robbins;63;of 102 Price St.;Belle Vernon;was killed almost instantly when a small truck he was working under slipped off a jack at the family garage about 4 o’clock yesterday afternoon. He was pronounced dead on arrival at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital of a crushed chest and shock;Westmoreland County Coroner Stephen D.Yoney said. Mr.Robbins was a retired employee of the Allenport Works of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a member of Fayette City Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Born in Elco on Nov.17;1904;he was a son of the late John and Sarah Weightman Robbins. Surviving are his widow;Martha Jolley Robbins;a son;Richard Lee of Fullerton;Calif.;one daughter;Sarah Jane Robbins at home;a brother;William of Roscoe;one sister;Mrs.Lawrence (Edith) Weaver of Fairhope;one grandson. Friends are being received at the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home in Fayette City.

Harry S.Robinson;86;of 543 Broad Ave.;North Belle Vernon;died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital Thursday;Oct.19;1967. Born in Belle Vernon on March 10;1881;;he was a member of the First Methodist Church;Free and Accepted Masons Lodge 643;Odd Fellows;Junior Order of United American Mechanics;all of Belle Vernon and was a charter member of the Rebekahs;all of Belle Vernon. Mr.Robinson had been a teacher and principal at the LeGrange School and operated a confectionery store in Belle Vernon until 1929. He also sold text books for the D.C.Heath Co.until 1952. He was preceded in death by his wife;Emma Reppert Robinson;in 1930. Surviving are a daughter;Mrs.Mark H.(Leona M.) Williams;of Fayette City R.D.;two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews;including Mrs.Robert F.Allen and Mrs.Howard S.Kimball;both of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;after 7 p.m.Oct.21. Service there Monday at 1:30 p.m.with Rev.Richard B.Snyder;pastor of the First Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
