Mrs.Lucy (Lucia) Rogers;70;of 316 Wood Street;Belle Vernon;died in the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital;Friday;March 22;1957;at 11:21 a.m. She was born in San Jiovanni in Fiore;Italy;February 25;1887;and had been a resident of Belle Vernon for thirty-two years. She was a member of St.Sebastian Church;and Auxiliary of the Sons of Italy lodge;and an honorary member of the Anita Garibaldi Society. She is survived by her husband;James Rogers;one son;Joseph of Clarksburg;West Virginia;six daughters;Mrs.Tony (Rose) Bitonti of Belle Vernon;Mrs.Joseph (Mary) Tomaro;Clarksburg;Mrs.John (Jennie) Forte;Morgntown;Mrs.Henry (Catherine) Caccamani;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Pete (Virginia) Veltri;Detroit;Michigan;and Mrs.Steve (Sara) Worry;Belle Vernon. Seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home during hours of 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Requiem High Mass will be sung in St.Sebastian Church;Monday;March 25;at 9:30 a.m.;by Rev.Henry Hanse and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and was a retired employee of the Monessen plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company.
