Church; Belle Vernon; he was
a veteran of World War n having served with the U. S. Army.
He belonged to the American
Legion Post 659 of Belle Vernon
and Citizens Association of
Pricedale.

Mrs.Emma Goldie West;48;of 225 Dent St.;Belle Vernon (Fairhope);died at her home Saturday;Nov.3;1967. A former resident of Pittsburgh;Mrs.West had lived in Fairhope 14 years. She was born in Logan County;W.Va.;on Jan.27;1919. Surviving are a daughter;Mrs.Robert (Rosalie) Schutte of Pittsburgh;two sisters;Mrs.Margaret Miller of Oakdale and Betty Pogany of Pittsburgh;two grandchildren. Michael T.Wanko of 207 Schell Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Oct.20;1967;at 6 a.m. at the home of his son;Thomas A.of 804 Maxalea Court;Baltimore;Md. Mr.Wanko;in declining health;was visiting his son. Born in Braddock he had lived in Monessen most of his life. Mr.Wanko was retired from the safety department (plant guard) of the Monessen plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. and was a member of St.Leonard Roman Catholic Church;Slovak Home and was a life member of Volunteer Fire Dept.and Relief Association;all of Monessen. His wife;Ursula;died in January;1963. Surviving besides his son are a grandson;Thomas E.Wanko of Washington;Pa.;and a granddaughter;Linda A.Wanko of Baltimore. Friends will be received at the Robert A.Billick Funeral Home;Monessen;from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Oct.22. Blessing service there Monday;Oct.23;at 9:30 a.m. followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Leonard R.C.Church;Monessen. The Rev.Regis Hickey;pastor;will officiate. Interment;Belle Vernon Cemetery.
