He was a retired United Mine Worker;last employed at Vesta #6 mine at Denbo. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Cora Belle White;one son;William of Belle Vernon;two sisters;Mrs.Margaret Cummings of Belle Vernon;and Mrs.Ella Greese of Saltsburg;three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. The deceased was a member of the St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon;and the Holy Name Society of the Church;also the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club and the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife;Mrs.Alice Winn;three sons;George of Fayette City;R.D.1;Harry in the state of Oklahoma and Maurice of Belle Vernon;a daughter;Mrs.Edna Mae Krepps of Speers;a brother;Guy of Fayette City;R.D.1 and two sisters;Mrs.Anna Lange of Vesta and Ellen Vance of Cleveland;Ohio. Eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home;Broad avenue;Belle Vernon;where visiting hours will be from 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. On Thursday;Jan.10;the remains will be taken to the St.Sebastian R.C.Church in Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Rev.Henry Hanse will officiate at Requiem Mass. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
