Mr.Wertz was a retired federal guard at the National Capital;Washington;D.C. He was a member of the F.and A.M. Washington;D.C.;and the American Legion Post 659;American Legion.He served in the U.S.Army during World War I. He is survived by his widow;Bertha Milby Wertz;and two daughters;Margaret and Jean.
