William Thomas Fleming;aged 18 years;son of Mr.and Mrs. William Fleming of Pricedale;well known youth of that place;was instantly killed Friday morning;June 19;1925;at 11:30 o’clock while at work in the Biddle mine of the Westmoreland Coal company at Manor;when he was crushed between a car and a rib of coal. He was crushed about the lungs and death was instantaneous. The youth had been working at Herminie with his father;but due to the fact the Biddle mine was working five days he went to work at this mine two days ago. The car with which he was crushed was hit by a trip of cars causing Fleming to be pushed against the rib. The body was removed to the undertaking rooms of C.L.Melenyzer of Belle Vernon;where it was prepared for burial. There survive besides his parents;three brothers;James and Harry Fleming at home;George Fleming of Fairhope;two sisters;Mrs.Ted Simon of West Newton and Mrs.Joe Mattie of Monessen. Funeral services will take place Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the late home followed by interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
