James G.Green;one of the pioneer citizens of Belle Vernon;died Friday morning;March 1;1929;at his home on Market street at the advanced age of 77 years. Death resulted from a complication of ailments lasting over a period of five months. The gentleman was born in Belle Vernon and spent his entire life in that place. Surviving are his wife;two sons;John of Homer City;Harry of Belle Vernon and seven daughters;Mrs.Charles Kuhn;Mrs. Dino Carrini;Mrs.Albert Price;Ethel and Marjorie;all of Belle Vernon;Mrs.William Fisher of Lock Four and Mrs.Lewis Roberts of Webster. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Free Methodist Church in charge of Rev.R.S.Might;the pastor. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Caleb Guiler;age 80;died at seven o’clock Monday evening;October 24;1927;at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Edward Breakwell of Fairhope after a lingering illness. The deceased is survived by three sons and four daughters;William Guiler of Charleroi;John Guiler of Fairhope;Jacob Guiler of Roscoe;Mrs.Theodore Fields of Roscoe;Mrs.George Hoffman of Fairhope;Mrs.A.Abbott of Fayette City and Mrs.Edward Breakwell of Fairhope. Funeral services will be held Thursday Oct.27;1927; at 2 o’clock at the home of Mrs.Breakwell at Fairhope. Rev.White of the Marion Presbyterian Church will have charge of the services. Interment will follow at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
