Miss Barbara Horan;68;died Wednesday;November 8;1944;at the home of her brother;Peter Horan;309 Schoonmaker avenue;Monessen;where she had resided for the past six years. Miss Horan was a life long member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a member of the Sacred Heart Society of St.Leonard’s Church. She is survived by two brothers;Peter;of Monessen and James of Barnesboro;Pa. A sister;Mrs.Nora Wildman of Barnesboro;also survives. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals where brief services will be held Saturday;Novemvber 11;at 9 a.m.;followed by additional rites at St.Leonard’s Church with Rev.Owen J.Kirby officiating. Issac Richard Hardy;69;retired;of 610 Blind Lane;Belle Vernon;died suddenly Thursday morning;March 9;1944;at 10:30 o’clock;as the aged man waited for a street car in Speers. Death was attributed to a heart attack. Surviving are his wife;Rebecca Jane Hardy;three daughters;Mrs.William Green of 328 Cleveland St.;Youngstown;Ohio;Mrs.James Truman of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Stanley Harper of Seymour;Ind.;and one son;Howard Hardy;of 330 West Earle St.;Youngstown;Ohio. Three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon until 3 p.m.Sunday afternoon when funeral services will be held. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her husband;Taylor Hogg;a sister;Mrs.John Kimball;and a brother;Harry S.Robinson;both of Belle Vernon.
