Mrs.Susan Hall;aged 84;widow of George Hall;died Monday night;Jan.1;1933;at the home of her daughter;Mrs.Mary Clegg;on Grant street;Belle Vernon. Mrs.Hall was one of the oldest and most highly respected residents of Belle Vernon. She was stricken with pneumonia about three weeks ago;and due to her advanced age;was unable to stave off the revages of the disease. Surviving are two sons;Robert of Monongahela and William of Belle Vernon;three daughters;Mrs.Belle Conaghan of Duquesne;Mrs.Mary Clegg and Mrs.Jennie Lehew of Belle Vernon. The body has been removed to the home of Mrs.Jennie Lehew at 815 Broad avenue;Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at two o’clock with interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Somewhere in the crowded business section of Pittsburgh;James Horan;of Monessen;bought christmas presents today while city police sought his whereabouts to inform him that his younger brother;Robert;13;was killed in a coasting accident at Monessen shortly before noon today;December 21;1932. Robert died of a fractured skull shortly after his sled slid under the wheels of a truck on McKee Hill;near his home. Death came as the boy was being rushed to the office of a doctor. The youth was coasting in an alley between McKee and Reed avenues;the sled coming out on McKee avenue;when he was struck by a small truck of the Red’s Market;driven by Fred Mullen. The driver swerved his truck and tried to avoid the sled but without avail. The accident occurred this morning at ten o’clock. Funeral services for Robert Horan;13 year old boy who was instantly killed Wednesday morning;December 21;1932;while coasting;were held this morning at 9 o’clock at the St.Leonard Church;Monessen;with interment following in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The deceased was the son of Mr.and Mrs.Pete Horan of 662 Reed avenue;Monessen.
