Charles C. Lewis
Pneumonia is said to be the cause of the death of Charles C. Lewis; Wednesday morning; January 17; 1940; at 10:45 o’clock at his late home in Washington township; Fayette County; Pa. He formerly resided in Charleroi and was well known in this community. Mr. Lewis was born at Old Concord; Pa.; on September 24; 1873; a son of Harvey Lewis and Margaret Imes Lewis; both Pennsylvania natives.
He leaves four sons; Clarence Lewis; of Charleston; W. Va.; Ralph Lewis of Fallowfield Township; Russell Lewis of Lynnwood and Harold Lewis of Stockdale; one daughter; Mrs. Elroy McCain of Elyria; Ohio; and two sisters; Mrs. Lawrence Sphar of Donora and Mrs. Robert Hollowood; of Buffalo; N. Y.
Remains are at the home of Ralph Lewis in Fallowfield Township. His funeral service will be held Saturday;January 20th at 2 o’clock. The pastor of the First Christian Church;Charleroi will be in charge. Lawrence B.Frye;funeral director in charge.
