He was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish of Charleroi; a watchmaker in Charleroi since 1937; and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served as as a technical sergeant. Surviving are his wife; Julia Mlechick DeFrancesco; two sons; Joseph DeFrancesco of Scotch Plains; N.J.; and Bernard DeFrancesco of San Jose; Calif.; two brothers; Leonard DeFrancesco of Charleroi and Michael DeFrancesco of Fayette City; one sister; Rose Shannon of Smithfield; and two grandchildren; Anthony and Melina DeFrancesco of San Jose; Calif.
