She was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and retired from the former JIB Restaurant and the Charleroi Hotel. Mrs. Giampetro had resided in Charleroi from 1953 to 1988; when she moved back to Seldom Seen. Robert L. James Sr.; 74; of Monessen; was called home on Sunday; June 9; 2002. He was born July 29; 1927; in Monessen; a son of the late John and Irene James. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1945 to 1948; and was honorably discharged. He was retried from the Monessen plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel after 37 years of service. Lionel Joe Diethorn; 77; of Rostraver Township; died Saturday; June 8; 2002; at 2:15 a.m. at his home surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 18; 1924; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late George F. and Teresa Magdalene Funk Diethorn. Mr. Diethorn was a resident of Rostraver Township for 23 years; a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; and was a veteran of World War II; serving in the U.S. Navy. He was the former owner and operator of a service station located along Donner Avenue in Monessen from 1952 to 1972 and retired as a foreman; having worked for several major construction companies in the Mon Valley. Mr. Diethorn was a member of the Belle Vernon Knights of Columbus Council 3026. David Trembach; 72; of Indiantown; Fla.; passed away Wednesday; June 5; 2002. A son of the late Joseph and Sophia Fekula Trembach; he was born in Pricedale on June 12; 1929. Mr. Trembach was a member of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon and attended the Port St. Lucie; Fla.; Christian Church. He also belonged to the Russian Club of Pricedale and Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659. Formerly of Belle Vernon; Mr. Trembach resided in Florida for the past 14 years. He had been a teacher; principal and elementary supervisor for the former Rostraver Township schools and was an educational sales consultant for 18 years; where he served as president of the Pennsylvania Educational Salesman’s Club for one year. Mr. Trembach finished his career as an elementary teacher in Canal Point; Fla.; schools; retiring in 1992. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army; serving in Korea.
