Jennie Kuziensky; 92; of Charleroi; died Friday; July 5; 2002; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born Feb. 12; 1910; in Jersey City; N.J.; a daughter of the late Ignatz and Bridget Czajkowski Kuziensky. She was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish of Charleroi. She was a retired employee of Corning Glass Plant in Charleroi. Surviving are one brother; Joseph Kuziensky of Butler; two sisters; Lottie McNeil of Charleroi and Dorothy Lepowsky of Weirton; W.Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by two brothers; John and Frank Kuziensky; and two sisters; Estelle (Tessie) Borbouse and Mae Marchinetti. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in the in the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME; 819 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Monday in Mary; Mother of the Church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Evelyn Strimel Zetka; 80; of Roscoe; died Wednesday; July 3; 2002. She was born Feb. 12; 1922; in Monessen; the daughter of the late Philip and Minnie Spiegelberg Strimel. She was a member of Roscoe United Methodist Church; former member of the Roscoe Presbyterian Church; the Roscoe American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and a former employee of Braun’s Bakery. Surviving are two sons; Charles Alan Zetka of Paducah; Ky.; and Tim Zetka and wife Bernadette of Dunlevy; three daughters; Mrs. Gregory (Donna) Petrosky of Long Branch; Mrs. Richard (Pam) Marcavitch of Waynesburg and Mrs. Charles (Tracey) Pfarr of Centerville; six grandchildren: Gregory Charles Petrosky; Tammy and Patrick Zetka; Aaron and Philip Marcavitch and Stephanie Regula; and three great-grandchildren; Tempestt; Tayla and Taliyah Taylor. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Charles Zetka; on Sept. 19; 1994. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday; July 5; in the ED MELENYZER FUNERAL HOMES; Roscoe; where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Joan Rousseaux; pastor of Roscoe United Methodist Church; officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Joseph DeFrancesco; 83; of Charleroi; died Tuesday; July 2; 2002; in Jefferson Hospital. He was born Oct. 27; 1918; in Woodvale; Pa.; a son of the late Giuseppi and Maria Mulla DeFrancesco. He was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish of Charleroi; a watchmaker in Charleroi since 1937; and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He served as as a technical sergeant. Surviving are his wife; Julia Mlechick DeFrancesco; two sons; Joseph DeFrancesco of Scotch Plains; N.J.; and Bernard DeFrancesco of San Jose; Calif.; two brothers; Leonard DeFrancesco of Charleroi and Michael DeFrancesco of Fayette City; one sister; Rose Shannon of Smithfield; and two grandchildren; Anthony and Melina DeFrancesco of San Jose; Calif. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by two brothers; Angelo and Samuel DeFrancesco. There will be no visitation; and services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the CARL J. SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME; Charleroi.

William Henry Carson; 53; of Pricedale; died Monday; July 1; 2002; at 9:29 p.m. in Monongahela Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born April 23; 1949; in North Charleroi; he was the son of the late Albert and Lena I. Lankford Carson. Mr. Carson; a lifelong resident of Pricedale; was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He is survived by one brother and sister-in-law; Albert P. and Leslee Carson of Monessen; four sisters and brothers-in-law; Marcella Irene and Robert Jones of Cincinnati; Ethel Louise and John Quarles of McDonald; Anna Marie and Donald White of Auburn Hills; Mich.; and Eva J. and Robert Williamson of Langley Air Force Base; Virginia; one son; Anthony Carson; and one stepson; Corie Carson; both of Virginia. Visitation will take place Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon. There will be no visitation on Thursday; July 4. Services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Elder Raymond Lankford officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
