Richard Behanna; 58; of Miami; Fla.; died Monday; Sept. 30; 2002; in the Miami Heart Institute; Miami; Fla. He was born July 9; 1944; a son of the late Richard and Delores Palfrey Behanna. He graduated from Rostraver High School in 1962. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Survivors include two sons; Scott Behanna and wife Bridget of Charleroi; and Todd Behanna of Madison; Wis.; one sister; Dianne Steiner and husband Dennis of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Chelsea; Garrett and Paige Behanna; all of Charleroi; one nephew; Denny Steiner and wife Michelle; many aunts; uncles and cousins; and long-time friend Tony Taylor and his family; all of Miami; Fla. In addition to his parents; Mr. Behanna was preceded in death by one nephew; Duane Shoman. A memorial service will be held Tuesday; Oct. 8; at 11 a.m. at the Belle Vernon Cemetery Chapel.
CARLOS ROSS
Carlos Ross; 75; of Belle Vernon; died Monday; Sept. 30; 2002. He was born Feb. 18; 1927; in Ellsworth; a son of the late Emidio and Amelie Ross. He was a veteran of World War II; having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his children; Carlos Ross Jr. and wife Johnnie Lynn of Forward Township; Matt Ross of Belle Vernon; and Bridget Ross of Donora; brothers; Frank Ross and Cammile Ross; sisters; Dolly Rischitelli; Antowenete Mann; and Norma Wonsehler; and five grandchildren; Brittany; Carlos III; Jarret and Joshua Ross and Aliea King. Friends will be received at the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC.; 334 Main St.; Fayette City; on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday; Oct. 2; at 9 p.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Bowers officiating. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers; the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Christian Church of Belle Vernon.
