She was born Dec. 30; 1909; in Fairhope; Washington Township; Fayette County; a daughter of the late John and Gertrude McDonough Murt. Mrs. Canigiani was the last surviving member of her family and was preceded in death by four brothers; Thomas; Mark; John; and Joseph Jodie Murt; and two sisters; Theresa Tolan and Margaret Park. She is survived by her husband of 67 years; Dominick Canigiani; whom she married June 20; 1936; three sons and daughters-in-law; James and Betty Canigiani of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); Mark and Christine Canigiani of Dunlevy; and Thomas and Patricia Canigiani of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood); seven grandchildren James; Daniel; Jennifer; Jeanne; Thomas; Nicole; and Adam Canigiani; and four great-grandchildren; Haley; Sebastian; Rachel and Heather Canigiani. Domenic Chess Marasco; 87; of Market Street; Belle Vernon; died Saturday; May 15; 2004; in his home. A son of the late Frank and Philomena Ruggiero Marasco; be was born in Belle Vernon on Oct. 29; 1916. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; AARP; Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; the 29th Infantry Division Post 92 of Philadelphia; and the East Belle Vernon Athletic Club. Mr. Marasco was the Belle Vernon tax collector from 1950 to 1954 and served for 30 years on the board of the Belle Vernon Municipal Authority; retiring in 1995. He was a construction worker for Local 286 in Brownsville and served in Europe with the U.S. Army during World War II. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law; Marilyn and Edmund Santini of Emerald Isle; N.C.; one sister and brother; Gilda and John Marasco; both of Belle Vernon; and two granddaughters; Shane Santini of Atlanta; Ga.; and Kelly Santini of Wilmington; N.C. Joseph A. Carpy Kostelac; 82; of (Fairhope) Belle Vernon; died Friday; May 14; 2004; in Country Care Manor; Fayette City; after a lengthy illness. He was born in Fairhope; Washington Township; Fayette County; Oct. 16; 1921; a son of the late James and Mary Berenik Kostelac. Also preceded in death by his wife; Helen Diggins Kostelac; a son; Richard Eugene Kostelac; and grandson; Richard Shane Kulik. He was Catholic by faith. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. with more than 40 years of service at the Monessen plant. A World War II veteran; he served in the U.S. Army with the 275th Infantry. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club; where he was a life member. He is survived by a son; Joseph A. Robert A. Pireaux; 73; of Fallowfield Township; went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday; May 11; 2004; in his home following a lengthy illness. He was born Oct. 24; 1930; in Charleroi; a son of the late Amil and Ethel Bizet Pireaux. He was a member of the Calvary Bible Church of Fallowfield Township. Mr. Pireaux was a 1950 graduate of Charleroi High School; where he was an all-star guard on the football team. He was inducted into the Charleroi High School Hall of Fame in 1988. Mr. Pireaux was retired as a structural ironworker with Ironworkers Local 3 of Pittsburgh. He was a chief petty officer in the U.S. Navy Sea Bees during the Korean Conflict; serving mostly in the Aleutian Islands and the Philippines. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Peggy Raisbeck Pireaux; two daughters and sons-in-law; Debbie and Gary Kossol of Eugene; Ore.; and Dana and Jack Cole of Fallowfield Township; five grandchildren; Ryan; Sean and Erin Kossol and Monica and Rachel Cole; his mother-in-law; Margaret Raisbeck of Fallowfield Township; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law; Marlene and Tom Bert of Independence; Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. A daughter of the late Frank and Delillah Hockenberry Bauer; she was born in Fayette City on July 6; 1903. She was a member of the Marion Presbyterian Church and retired in 1958 from the former West Penn Water Company in Charleroi and Monessen. Survivors include many nieces and nephews. Nathaniel Mosley; 88; of Monessen; went home to be with the Lord on Friday; May 7; 2004; in Monongahela Valley Hospital. Born in Birmingham; Ala.; on Oct. 25; 1916; he was a son of the late William and Sally Mosley. He was employed by Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen Plant; where he worked as a crane operator until his retirement. Mr. Mosley was a very active and faithful deacon and member of Christian Life Ministries Inc.; Donora. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law; Evelyn Mosley and Burnell Robinson of Monessen and Janice Mosley Smith of McKeesport; three sons; Nathaniel Mosley Jr. of New York City; Charles Mosley of Uniontown; and Robert Mosley of Birmingham; Ala.; one sister; Erma Mosley of the state of California; 50 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren. Mr. Mosley is also survived by a wife; Emma Mosley; and a host of nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. He was married to the late Evelyn Phillips-Mosley; who passed away in 1993; and to the late Earstie Mosley. William L. Trenk; 52; of Belle Vernon; went to be with the angels on Saturday; May 8; 2004. He was born April 19; 1952; in North Charleroi; a son of the late William Trenk and Helen Melanowsky Trenk; who survives and resides in Fairhope; Belle Vernon. He was a member of The Christian Center of Belle Vernon. Mr. Trenk was a veteran of the U.S. Army; having served in Germany during the Vietnam. He is survived by his children; Douglas Trenk; currently serving with the U.S. Army in Okinawa; Japan; and Charles Trenk and Rosemary Trenk; both of West Newton; two sisters; Linda Rathway and husband Ray of Perryopolis R.D. and Michelle Moody and husband William of Fayette City; his former spouse; Sarah Montgomery Trenk of West Newton; and many nieces and nephews and other family members. He will also be sadly missed by his beloved companion; Tiki.
