She was Presbyterian by faith and loved gardening and being with her children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Yowonske had lived most of her adult life in Twilight and had been employed by Corning Glass Works. Throughout the years; she had been a member of both St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon and St. John the Baptist Church in Perryopolis. She was a member of the Annita Garibaldi Society and the Catholic Daughters of America Court 1522; both of Belle Vernon. Mrs. Bauer was an elementary school teacher at St. John the Baptist Catholic School from 1962 until her retirement in 1977.
