Robert C. Rab Hughes; 91; of Rostraver Township; died Thursday; May 10; 2007; in the Harmon House; Mt. Pleasant. Born in Dunbar on July 8; 1915; he was the son of the late Charles and Ida Bryner Hughes. Rab was the youngest of 10 children. As a young man; he was competitive in football and basketball at Donora High School; where he played halfback for the legendary Jimmy Russell in 1934. He worked at U.S. Steel; Donora Works for 32 years and then at Westinghouse at Waltz Mills in Madison for 15 years. He had a vivid memory and loved to talk about football and his family ancestry. Carol had many talents and hobbies; which included cake decorating; growing and arranging dried flowers; and collecting dolls that she displayed throughout her home.
