Born September 12; 1937 in McKeesport; he was the son of the late John and Mary Rybacki Sevcik.
A resident of Rostraver Twp. for the past 35 years; Mr. Sevcik was a member of St. Sebastian RC Church; Belle Vernon; the Elrama Sportsman Club; veteran of the US Army Reserves; Finleyville and was a retired water purification technician from USX Irvin Works.

FLOYD LEE GILES
Floyd Lee Giles; 79; of Charleroi (Mapleview); died Wednesday; July 25; 2007; in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Nov. 6; 1927; in Roscoe; the son of the late Henry W. and Blanche Metcalfe Giles. Floyd was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish and a 58-year member of Elks Lodge No. 494; both in Charleroi; the Mon Valley Country Club; the Pittsburgh Symphony Society and the PGA. A 1945 graduate of Charleroi High School; he also was a member of the Reunion Committee. Floyd was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant and prior to that was the quality control supervisor at the Charleroi plant of Corning Glass. An avid golfer and bowler; he was captain in several leagues and golfed at all the famous courses; including Pebble Beach and Greenbrier. Floyd also was a champion duck pin bowler in several traveling leagues. He enjoyed traveling; especially to London via the SST Concorde and the Queen Elizabeth II; where he walked among his heritage. Floyd also was a professional gambler; winning many casino tournaments nationwide. Well know for his high IQ; he loved English; history and classical music; especially Mozart. Surviving are his wife and sweetheart since grade school; Eunice Kendrick Giles; and several cousins. Friends will be received in the CARL J. Ralph A. Weaver; 80; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope); died Friday; July 20; 2007; in his home. A son of the late Jesse and Edna Bogard Weaver; he was born in Brave on Oct. 30; 1926. Ralph was a member of the United Christian Church; Malden Crossroads; California; Pa. He was the owner and operator of the Mon Valley Taxi Company until his retirement in 1990; and he was a U.S. Navy veteran; serving in the Pacific Theatre with the Little Beaver Squad aboard the USS Converse from April 1944 until his discharge in May 1946. He was a former employee of the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company and later was self employed as a contractor. She was a member of the former Presbyterian Church of Monessen and had attended the United Methodist Church of Monessen. Mrs. Destefano spent most of her free time sewing and had taught sewing lessons.
