He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; the American Legion Post 659; the B.P.O.E. Lodge 773 of Monessen; the Penn State Alumni Association and the National Management Association. A resident of North Belle Vernon for the past 54 years; Lloyd retired in March 1989 from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.; where he was a general foreman. He served aboard the USS Wachapreaque in the Pacific during World War II. Lloyd played baseball; football and basketball for Monessen High School and Penn State University; and he coached midget league for many years. A devoted family man; Lloyd was a loving husband; father and grandfather. His family was most important in his life; and he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
