Nellie M. Basile; 81; of Belle Vernon (Fairhope) was called home to her God; on Wednesday; January 9; 2008 in her home. A daughter of the late William and Frances Goletz Malinowski; she was born in Fairhope on March 24; 1926. Nellie was a lifetime member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church of Fayette City and was formerly a member of the Friends of the Veterans and the Valley of Hope prayer group. She retired in 1988 from the Washington Twp. Municipal Authority. Nellie was a loving wife; mother; grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; Roland Paul and Donna Basile; Jr. of Waterboro; ME; four daughters and three sons-in-law; Charmel and Gary Makovsky of Rostraver Twp.; Janis and Monty Gamble of Mt. Pleasant; Mary Frances and Marti Stefanick and Peggy Basile; two sisters; Helen Trenk and Frances Seman; all of Belle Vernon; eleven grandchildren; Chris Jones and husband Michael; Renee Marsico; Jon Paul Basile and wife Vicki; all of Maine; Tracey Cook and husband Bob of Belle Vernon; Gary Lee Makovsky and wife Amy of Speers; Shawn Ghost and wife Amanda of the state of California; Brandon Ghost of Mt. Pleasant; Brittney; Ben and Chelsea Harvey and Janell Tumbiolo; all of Belle Vernon and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Roland P. Pee Wee Basile on September 30; 2001; two brothers; Walter and Adolf Malinowski and three sisters; Blanche Moskal; Steffie DuJardin and Stella Stushka Malinowski. Clifford H. Toth; 87; a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord on Tuesday; Oct. 30; 2012; at his home; surrounded by his family. A son of the late John and Cora Smith Toth; he was born in Arnold City; on March 20; 1925. He was a member of the St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church in Belle Vernon; a past Quartermaster of the Belle Vernon VFW Post No. 699; a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659; and graduated from Belle Vernon High School as a member of the Class of 1944. Cliff served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy; and then he and his late brother Joseph were the co-owners of the former Toth Brothers Market in Belle Vernon. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his brothers John; Thomas; Lou; Stephen; Joseph and Melvin Toth. Survivors include his wife of 68 years; Theresa A. Sellaro Toth; daughters and sons-in-law; Andrea and Michael May of St. Mary’s; Ga.; Yvonne Toth of Belle Vernon; and Theresann (T.A.) and Michael Miller of Virginia Beach; grandchildren; Amy Beebe; John Williams; Jennifer Kohler; Joseph and Joshua May and Verona and Cecelia Miller; great-grandchildren; James; Alex and Brenna Beebe; Scott T. Kohler; Olivia May and twins; Mason Clifford and Caleb Michael May and T.J. Howard; sisters; Dorothy Pierce of Fairbanks; Alaska; Margie Forsini of Finleyville; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his wife and children; his greatest joys were provided by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
