Virginia C. Mood; 86; of Monessen; died Tuesday; April 15; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born August 20; 1921; in Belle Vernon; she was a daughter of the late Frank R. and Mary E. Garrin Carper. Mrs. Mood was a member of the Pricedale Union Church and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter No. 205 of Monessen. She also loved quilting; needlepoint; and all forms of hand crafts. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Walter V. Mood; and a sister; Eleanor Schneider. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law; Walter Jr. and Glenda Mood; of Saskatoon; Saskatchewan; grandchildren; Walt (Laura) Mood III; Steven (Sheree) Mood; Ronda Heit and Ryan Heit; a sister; Inez Powell; of Monongahela; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Carl and Linda Mood; and Jack and Florence Mood; all of Fayette City. Frank Flora; 98; of Belle Vernon; died Tuesday; April 15; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. Born June 24; 1909; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Jack and Thomasina Luperta Flora. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Belle Vernon; F&AM No. 643 of Belle Vernon; the Charleroi Chapter of the AARP; Shrine of Pittsburgh and the McKean Commandery. Prior to his retirement; he had been employed as an operating engineer for Local 66 of Pittsburgh. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife; Jennie Quintier Flora; on August 24; 2006; brothers and sisters; Anna Pollizzano; Ross Flora; Pete Flora; Mary Mascara; Angelina Brazack; Joseph Flora; John Flora and Josephine Neil. Survivors include his nieces and nephews; Frank and Dolores Mascara; of Charleroi; Thomas A. and Lorraine Quintier; and Rose Kander; all of North Belle Vernon; and Joanne Schuster; of Monongahela; and many other nieces and nephews.
