Richard A. Tony Brightwell; 69; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; Aug. 1; 2010; at 7:20 a.m. in Donnell House; Washington. Born Sept. 22; 1940; in Belle Vernon; he was the son of the late Dick and Elizabeth Anthony Brightwell. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mr. Brightwell was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; and was a retired letter carrier from U.S. Postal Service at the Belle Vernon Post Office. He had served with the U.S. National Guard Reserves; was a life member of the North Belle Vernon Fire Department; served as board member of the Washington County Postal Federal Credit Union; was a member of numerous antique car clubs and the Train Collectors Association (TCA). He is survived by his wife; Pamela Costella Brightwell; to whom he was married 46 years; son and daughter-in-law; Mark and Karin Brightwell; of Eighty Four; daughter and son-in-law; Jennifer and Chris Nelson; of Eighty Four; mother-in-law; Hazel M. Costella; of Belle Vernon; two grandchildren; Kassidy and Colton Brightwell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister; Donna Krett. Visitation will be held Tuesday; Aug. 3; from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; (724) 929-6183. Prayer service will be held Wednesday; Aug. 4; at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home; followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Lawrence L. Manchas; pastor; as celebrant. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Members of St. Sebastian Church will pray the rosary for the departed soul of Anthony Brightwell Tuesday; Aug. 3; at 3 p.m. and the North Belle Vernon Fire Department will conduct services Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.; both in the funeral home. Elizabeth Frances Babe Emelo Kollar; 89; of Ocean City; Md.; formerly of North Charleroi; died Wednesday; Aug. 6; 2008; in Atlantic General Hospital; Berlin; Md. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Charleroi and proud to have worked as a secretary at the Pentagon in Washington; D.C.; during World War II. Mrs. Kollar was very active in recreational bowling; which she loved; and was a friend of nature who loved all animals and enjoyed working in the garden. She is survived by her children; Lenhart Keith Kollar; of Ocean City; Md.; and Beverlee Kollar Kasdorf; of Pittsburgh; and by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Lenhart Kollar.
