Darel L. Johnson; 65; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Saturday; June 28; 2008; at 10:29 p.m. in Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born October 2; 1942; in North Charleroi; he was the son of the late Edwin and Susan Freshnock Johnson. A resident of Washington Township; Mr. Johnson was retired from the former Fox Grocery; Wetterau and SuperValu in Belle Vernon; where he worked as a truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659. He is survived by his wife; June A. Lynn Johnson; to whom he was married 18 years; two sons; David Johnson and Brian Johnson; both of Belle Vernon; one daughter and son-in-law; April and Chad Williams; of Belle Vernon; one brother; Charles Johnson; of California; one sister; Margaret Cooley; of Houston; Texas; two granddaughters; Chloe Johnson and Kelsey Kearns; three brothers-in-law; Dale Lynn Jr. and wife Mary Ann; of Belle Vernon; Edward Lynn and wife Beth; of Dawson; and Emerson Lynn; of Houston; Texas; and one sister-in-law; Lisa Swiantek and husband Clem; of Belle Vernon. He was preceded in death by his first wife; Barbara Freshnock Johnson; and one sister; Donna Symington. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the LEONARD J.
